Last week we were down in Cheshire, a county full of beautiful little brick villages and lush countryside. We stopped in to Tarporley for a walk and a tea and cake stop.
I absolutely love these little brick houses.
Everyone’s garden was so well maintained. I was desperate for some wisteria but I think it was a bit too late.

But I did find this beautiful meadow.
We stopped in to No6 tearoom for a bite to eat. They had a lovely selection of sandwiches and cakes inside it felt like you were sitting in someone’s country kitchen.
I had a slice of the almond and apricot tart. It was delicious. Perfectly crisp pastry and rather than whole apricots there was a generous later if apricot jam.
